Steady as she goes…

Steady as she goes...

Today is a day to move forward. My anticipation isn’t as great as I’d hope it would be at this moment. As I sit on my plush sofa with my beagle snoring on the opposite side, I take a deep breath and ready myself for what lies ahead.

In actuality, it’s nothing deep or profound or life-changing, just a shift in the routine I call “life”.

And so…I sigh as this image flashes into my head and I mentally take the helm. Taking a deep breath and keeping my eyes focused upon the horizon, I call out to no one in particular,

“Hoist the colors…steady as she goes…”
